Late 19th C Garnet and Pearl Pinchbeck Pendant
A colored gemstone or pearl as the central focal point, surrounded by smaller gems, was a hallmark of the Renaissance Revival style of pendants, brooches and earrings. Various enameling techniques were often used as colorful accents.
Meant to emulate the finest Venitian jewelry of the 14th-16th century, this beautiful renaissance revival jewel has done her homework.
