19th Century 14ct Pink Gold Turquoise and Pearl Hoops
A wonderful pair of Archaeological revival earrings, straight from Elle’s personal collection!
Crafted circa 1870 in a darling 14 carat pink gold, these earrings feature a rare Poissarde shape, with heavy geometrical motifs and fine detailing. Also featured are sweet and vibrant miniature turquoise and pearl cabochon stones, which are set along the curved centers of each earring.
What we love the most about these earrings is the diamond pointed setting around each turquoise and pearl, which turns each stone into a star! This design is classic of the 3rd and 4th quarter of the 19th century, where Victorian jewelry often leaned into a more astronomical, “starry” style. These earrings are a beautiful rendering of the American interpretation of this trend.
A delightful and darling treasure, perfect for any antique jewelry lover’s collection!
