The versatility of this exceptional set of French pearl and black enamel parure reminds us of the ingenuity of 19th century craftspersonship. The two substantial gold cuffs centered on massive pearl medallions can be connected together to form a fully articulated golden collar. The stunning simple black enamel and pearl earrings boast pointed arabesques and center on delicious cultured pearls. The brooch features yet another blooming pearl cluster reminiscent of an Indian mandala, which harkens to the Eastern influence felt strongly in French bijouterie of the mid 19th century. Other elements of “Oriental” design enjoy homage in this outstanding set. Fit for a duchess.

Condition: Note that both bracelets have some minor denting to the gold. All pearls appear to be natural save the central pearls in the earrings and brooch, which are cultured. Overall, the pearls and black enamel are in excellent shape. Minor associated age wear.
