Exceptional Early 19th C French Regional Paste “Galon” Collar Necklace (Inclusive of removing extra bits and creating a bracelet)
A stunning early 19th Century French Provinçal, or Regional French necklace that has been beautifully fashioned onto a Black Velvet Ribbon, to create a “Galon” presentation, as was the style of the 1830’s-1850’s. One of the most remarkable ones I’ve ever seen, this paste Galon necklace reminds me of a spectacular 18th century one that I let go from my collection two years ago, and, regret selling to this day. These are extremely hard to come by, with their golden details, paste stones, and this one boasts a hook at the bottom of the central element, from which you can suspend the pendant of your choosing.
