Victorian Amethyst Locket Conversion Ring
There is nothing more romantic than wearing a reminder of someone you love close to your heart. For centuries, the locket has been a lady’s favorite accessory to do just that.
Locket rings or poison rings, as they are more nefariously termed, were quite popular in the 19th century, though very few examples survive. This ring is a conversion from perhaps another ring or small locket featuring an amethyst top, hinged at the back, beautiful 14k barleycorn shank.
